I enjoyed playing it so maybe you should try it yourself and wishlist it on steam to help the creators achieve their goals.
Hi! This game was absolutely fantastic and the premise really blew me away. I played it on stream and quite a few of the viewers enjoyed it as well. I even wishlisted it at the end because I was surprised how locked in I was while playing it. Definitely would like to see more! I gave my review on it as well during stream =)

I feel a tad bit late to the party here which sucks since I genuinely enjoyed this game! I feel that I can sometimes be harsh on smaller games without really meaning to but for this demo I really had no complaints whatsoever! I had some laughs, some pretty good scares. And by the time the demo was done I honestly felt pretty satisfied with the experience (Stocking items was super addicting I wanted to add that as well lol) Overall I had a lot of fun playing this game and wanted to thank you guys!
For being only a demo, this was a awesome experience for sure! Amazing gameplay mechanics for sure and the game felt great the whole time, graphics are pretty good and not meaning to spoil, but that spider section was intense! Only bug I encountered was I got softlocked at the first shelf stock. Apart from that, amazing! Made a video on it.

As a huge fan of the Papers, Please and Quarantine Zone types of game, this is an awesome unique twist to that genre that also adds a super creepy horror feeling!
I really cannot wait to see what is in store for this going forward, I’m very much invested!
What a great game - blast of fresh air within the 'stacking shelves' trope of indie horror
Combining 'That's not my neighbour' with 'Papers, please' and 'Night of The Consumers', you really feel under pressure to ensure that the place is clean and tidy, the shelves are stacked and that the odd people coming into the store are human.
What I particularly enjoyed about Shift At Midnight were the recurring characters and the seemingly random nature of whether they were a doppelganger or not. Not sure if the demo allows you go past the second shift without incurring the wrath of the SPIDER DEMON, but you definitely have to pay attention to what the customers say in order to find out whether they're human or not. DAMN YOU TOBY!
My only critique is when the spider-demon entity arrives - not sure if 'slowing down' really helps or not, and whether boarding up the place helps. It gives you a cash incentive, sure - but you really just have to get the plopped out eggs as fast as possible. Curious as how the multiplayer will affect the gameplay, but this is definitely something to check out!

And thank you for feedback - I'm currently completely remaking the hunt aspect of the game to make more sense thematically and gameplay wise. That update should come out sometime in the next couple of days.

I have a friend who'd love to play the game but doesn't have Windows, I was talking to him about it and is just as excited as I am

Overall this is a very good game, and I would recommend playing this if u stream or make gaming videos.
